About Us

Filsham Lodge was a 10 bedded family run dementia residential home in the late 1980s.

The current owners bought the home in November 2004 and became a registered nursing home in July 2011.

The home has been extended and is now a 53 bedded

All communal areas of the Home have now been refurbished with new decor, chairs and flooring.

Our Team

Our team is managed by May Crousse.

May has been a carer and in the care sector for over 10 years. Having finished her degree in Psychology, she was recruited by the owners to Ampersand House in Rochester, Kent. Within two months she had turned the place around in time for the CQC report and took the home from "Requires Improvement" to "Good".

May then moved to Lucerne House, a learning disability home in Bexhill, East Sussex. At the time a ban on admissions had been put into place . After much time and dedication she not only managed to remove the ban, but took the home to "Good" again on the CQC report which made the local papers.

May started at Filsham Lodge in August 2017 and loves working with the residents here. She prefers a hands-on role where possible. With the recent renovations carried out, she is busy making sure everyone in the home has the best care available and that staff are fully supported.
